Who manufactures your fire extinguishers?
The majority of our extinguishers are FireChief branded and come with a 5 year guarantee.
These are manufactured by Thomas Glover who are part of the UTC Corporation who own Chubb, Kidde, Gloria, Firepower & Pyrene to name but a few.
Fireblitz is also a company who we use. They are a UK based fire company and all their extinguishers are manufactured here in the UK. Fireblitz is run by the people who used to be Firemaster.
We also supply a range of economically priced extinguishers manufactured by Savex, the only difference being they come with a 1 year guarantee. All our extinguishers are BS EN3 approved, BAFE approved, CE Marked and BSi Kitemarked.
How can you sell so cheaply?
A2Z Fire Limited is one of the UK's leading online suppliers of fire safety equipment to the trade and public. As such, we have a huge buying ability which allows us to pass on massive discounts to our customers. We do not employ engineers, sales people or have expensive retail locations that simply increase our business costs. This allows us to offer our products at very competitive prices, bringing fire safety equipment to people at affordable costs.
Are the Extinguishers ready to use?
All of our extinguishers are brand new and come direct from the manufactures. As such they are pre-filled and tested and ready for immediate use.
Do you service extinguishers?
No. We are purely an online supplier of fire safety equipment. If you require servicing we are happy to recommend a company who we deal with regularly. Please email us for their contact details.
Do extinguishers need servicing?
Fire extinguishers need servicing every 12 months by a qualified engineer. Extinguisher warranties may not apply if a business does not conform to its legal servicing requirements.
When do extinguishers need a discharge test?
All fire extinguishers need a discharge test every 5 years in accordance with British Standards. CO2 extinguishers require a different test. Our prices are so competitive that it is often cheaper to simply buy a new extinguisher from us rather than carry out the discharge test.
Can any service company service your extinguishers?
The simple answer is yes. If they tell you otherwise we suggest finding a new service company who are not trying to just sell you over priced fire safety equipment. All reputable service engineers are trained to service all types of extinguishers regardless of manufacturer.
Do I need safety signs?
The vast majority of our customers also order the relevant fire safety signs for the extinguishers they use. These are available in a range of sizes and formats. When you order an extinguisher or blanket from us we will recommend the correct sign for you.
What about positioning extinguishers?
Firstly, an extinguisher should never be used as a door stop! All our extinguishers come supplied with wall mounting brackets as standard, apart from wheeled extinguishers and automated systems which have a separate fitting supplied. If you do not want them mounted on a wall we sell the largest range of cabinets and stands in the UK for convenient placement.
